How it all Works
This is a detailed roadmap of what you'll get from me when we work together. And I do mean together since I take your input in the creation process very seriously. Hey, it's your painting after all and you must love it!
- LEVEL 1: We have a nice little chat, get to know a bit about each other and you present your general idea. Usually at this stage, we talk about your options and how much it would cost depending on the medium and the level of detail involved so you can make your decision based on that. Sometimes I'll throw in a quick sketch for free if we need it to visualize the idea. In the end, I'll give you a final quote for the project.
- LEVEL 2: Once you feel confident to start, we proceed with a retainer payment of 50% of the total amount for bigger pieces, or a full upfront payment for smaller projects. This allows me to allocate the time needed to acquire the materials and start working on the commission with some peace of mind.
- LEVEL 3: I like to make digital compositions of the artwork first so you can see how the art is going to look in the end. This is where I do thumbnail sketches, color choices, different compositions, and we have a revision stage and add changes to the piece. This part is very important to get right because once it gets approved, there will be no more changes to the art, digital or traditional.
- LEVEL 4: We now proceed to the actual painting, which will take me around a week tops for digital works, and 2 weeks to a month to complete for traditional, depending on the details, medium used, drying times, and varnish process.
- LEVEL 5: Now that the painting is finished, I'll send several pictures to you showing the completed artwork and you proceed to make the final payment + shipping fees, which start at $25 and up depending on the size and the weight of the artwork. I use FedEx for worldwide shipping and they deliver within 3 to 5 days, very fast!
